Acts getting set to take to the stage

A TOP tribute act and a stage version of a hit film are coming to wow the crowds in Staffordshire in the coming weeks.

The Lichfield Garrick has announced it is set to host AC/DC UK and the Songs of Sister Act.

AC/DC UK have established themselves as one of the finest tribute acts around.

The band look like their idols, sound like them and they generate the rock 'n' roll atmosphere of AC/DC live in concert.

Covering such rock anthems as Back in Black, Dirty Deeds, Thunderstruck, You Shook Me All Night Long and Highway to Hell, AC/DC UK will play at 7.30pm on Friday, September 19.

Tickets cost £19.50 and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling 01543 412121.

They appear within 24 hours of the Songs of Sister Act.

Starring the choir from the West End's The Singers of Soul and a full live band, this show will have people dancing in the aisles to songs including Oh Happy Day, Joyful Joyful, Shout, Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Hail Holy Queen.

A spokesman for the venue said: "Get those habits on, dig out your dancing shoes and prepare for the night of your life. Fancy dress is encouraged."

The Songs of Sister Act is playing at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 18

Tickets are priced £18.50 and can be booked online.
