PEOPLE are being asked to ‘do more for charity’ as part of their new year resolutions.
Midlands Air Ambulance issued the plea in an effort to try and get potential fund-raisers from across Burton and South Derbyshire to get involved in raising money for the charity.
A spokesman for the air ambulance told the Mail: “The 2013 air ambulance events diary is bursting at the seams so whatever your hobby or chosen challenge there is something planned to suit every age and ability.
“Whether you want to run, cycle, walk, free fall or abseil, the list of ways to get involved is endless.
In the past 21 years, the charity has responded to more than 37,000 incidents, averaging nearly ten each day.
The charity receives no Government or National Lottery funding and needs £6 million each year to remain operational.
