I Was Gonna Cancel

Kylie (Album)

KYLIE’S latest effort is the typical bubble gum pop that we have come to expect from her.

Slightly sickly sweet, the track makes me think of candy floss and Blackpool rock. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this song, it’s just one that you’ll probably fall in love with when you’re drunk and dancing in a gay club on a Saturday night.

This isn’t the best track I’ve ever heard come from the Kylie camp but it’s fairly catchy and you’ll most likely find yourself singing along got it when it comes on the radio.

Various Artists (Album)

IN World Cup fever fashion, this album encompasses traditional sounds of South America.

The collection of 12 vocal recordings have been reworked through new samba and bossa nova arrangements created by the Berman Brothers and talented musicians.

includes classic standards by Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughan and Nina Simone, along with summer favourites from Bill Withers, Andy Williams and the Isley Brothers.

Everyone needs some bossa nova in their life and this album is sure to bring the carnival into your home or car.

A great new take on some classic sounds and the perfect summer soundtrack. (Caroline Kay)

AFTER a little while away, all rounder Example looks set to head back straight to the top of the charts will his latest album.

Live Life Living does not deviate from the norm, but Example does what he does best and comes up with a range of top songs that will have people up on their feet throughout the summer months,

While I think Example is one of those acts that would probably be best seen live, this latest record will no doubt wet the appetite of fans before they perhaps go to see him in the flesh.

A top album by a top artist.

(Rob Smyth
