THE Alzheimer's Society has teamed up with South Derbyshire health workers to invite people to a free dementia support talk.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has organised the talk on Monday.

Those in attendance will learn how the Alzheimer's Society works in hospitals to offer advice and support to patients, carers and NHS staff around the impact of dementia.

The talk, delivered by the Alzheimer's Society's South Derbyshire dementia services manager Peter Bogue and Derbyshire Alzheimer's Society hospital support worker Donna Chadwick, will also discuss how the charity's work extends out into the community.

Mr Bogue said: "I'm looking forward to discussing the part that we play in supporting people with dementia in hospitals and in the community.

"Our hospital support workers have such varied roles."

Anyone wishing to attend the talk, which takes place in Chesterfield, can pre-book by emailing membership@derbys hcft.nhs.uk or, alternatively, by calling 01332 623700 extension 33302.
