Appeal for information after man absconds from HMP Sudbury

DERBYSHIRE police are appealing for information after a prisoner absconded from HMP Sudbury yesterday.

Andrew David Hudson was convicted to five years for burglary at a dwelling on April 16 2007 He is serving the sentence concurrently to an indeterminate sentence for public protection for robbery on June 18 2006 at Worcester Crown Court.

Police have described the 38-year-old as white and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He is also of a thin build and has short brown hair and brown eyes.

Hudson is also identifiable through three distinct tattoos. The first is a tribal sign on his right hand as well as a naked woman on his right arm. He also has a tattoo of an eagle on his left arm. Police say that Hudson’s last known address is in the town of Kidderminster in Worcestershire.

Anyone that might have information regarding the whereabouts of Andrew Hudson is asked not to approach him as he is believed to be dangerous.

Members of the public are instead asked to immediately contact their local police station using the 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
