A YOUNG artist whose quirky wildlife portraits are taking on a life of their own will be showcasing herself at Barton Marina.
Hayley Goodhead, a professional artist, based in Barton-under-Needwood, graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a degree in Fine Art two years ago and has gradually established herself as a professional artist, specialising in painting wildlife.
For the past two years, she has been exhibiting and selling her artwork through Gallery 3, based at the Waterfront, Barton Marina, and has successfully sold more than 50 pieces prompting Gallery owner Rob Whitehouse to take the bold step of holding an exhibition of her latest work, titled Animal Magic.
Her new paintings have a slight a quirkiness to them, and are something a little bit different due to them not quite complying to an everyday wildlife portrait.
The official opening of Animal Magic takes place on Saturday, March 2, from 2pm to 4pm, where clients and customers will have the chance to meet with the artist and discuss the work on show.
