DERBY County will begin their 2014/15 campaign at home to newly-promoted Rotherham United on August 9.

The Rams then face three away games in a row as they travel to Sheffield Wednesday - after a trip to Carlisle United in the League Cup - on August 16, before visiting Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, August 19, kick-off 7.45pm.

The festive fixtures see Steve McClaren's side travel to Birmingham City on Boxing Day and host rivals Leeds United on December 28.

They end the season with the visit of Reading on May 2.

Derby’s last game against the Millers came in a 2009 League Cup game, when they lost 2-1 at the Don Valley Stadium.

The last time Rotherham visited Pride Park was in 2004, when Derby won 3-2 thanks to goals from Grzegorz Rasiak, former Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido and Jamie Vincent.

In 45 total meetings between the sides, Derby have won 16, the Millers have won 15, with 14 draws.
