A MAN had to be taken to hospital following a crash in the early hours of this morning (SAT).
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a crash on the A514 Swarkestone Bridge just after midnight.
On arrival, it was revealed that a car and a cyclist had crashed.
The cyclist has rolled down an embankment and firegfighters had to use ladders to rescue him.
He was later taken to the Royal Derby Hospital with minor injuries.
Derbyshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance were also attendance and all emergency services left the scene at 1.21am.
