POLICE have launched a probe following reports of a 'suspicious incident' at a house in Burton.
Staffordshire Police revealed that officers and a forensic team were called to an address in Victoria Street at just before 6pm.
Chief inspector Steve Maskrey, commander of the East Staffordshire local policing team, confirmed to the Mail that his officers had been called to investigate a ‘suspicious incident’ at a house in the street.
He said: “I can confirm that we received a call just before 6pm and, as a result, we have launched an investigation into a suspicious incident in Victoria Street.
“This is at a very early stage and at the moment we cannot comment any further.”
