A 25-YEAR-OLD man has died following a crash on the A50 this morning.
The man was a passenger in a Ford Transit van which collided with an articulated lorry at around 2.30am.
The eastbound section of the dual carriageway was closed for more than five hours between junctions two and four at Toyota.
Another man, the 23-year-old driver of the van, was taken to Royal Derby Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Early morning commuters were forced to find alternative routes as the stretch remained closed until 8am.
