Burton forms centre stage for Marston's documentary

BURTON will be the focus of a television documentary that is taking a behind-the-scenes look at a town brewing giant.

Marston's brewery, in Shobnall Road, will feature in a the second episode of the Channel 5 programme called One Ale Of A Job, narrated by Al Murray, 'The Pub Landlord'.

The three-part series, produced by Shine TV, follows the men and women of Marston's as they go about their everyday business, and airs from 8pm.

The show made its debut last week and was dubbed one of the 'TV highlights of the week' by The Guardian.

Among those from Burton appearing on screen are Graham Benford, fleet manager; Jo Topping, supply chain administrator; Simon Bradley and Chris Platt, fermentation department operatives; and Jim Bligh, quality control manager.

Richard Westwood is managing director at Marston's.

He said: "Our team thoroughly enjoyed being part of the programme-making process."
