INVESTIGATORS are still working to find the source of a blaze at a post office started during a botched raid.
Teams of specialist officers from Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were yesterday still combing over the scene of the fire at Branston Post Office, in Main Street.
A major investigation was launched on Tuesday to track down two men who triggered the fire which raged for more than two hours
Twenty-five firefighters, four fire engines and half a dozen police cars attended the incident at just after 2.30am.
Chief Inspector Steve Maskrey, commander of the East Staffordshire local policing team, told the Mail: "Some nearby paper then set alight with the blaze quickly spreading.
"We are looking at whether this incident is linked with two similar ones that have taken place in other areas of the county."
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
