A MOTORCYCLIST was checked driving through Brizlincote Valley at a speed of 50 miles per hour.
Speedwatch volunteers monitoring motorists in the area recorded the bike in their latest anti-speed campaign.
Almost 80 vehicles were found to be speeding in the area over the group's last four sessions, with most reaching speeds of between 39 miles per hour and 42 miles per hour.
More than 850 vehicles were monitored during this time.
Brizlincote parish councillor Bill Warrilow, who is involved with the speedwatch scheme, said that although the area has historically had a speed limit of 30 miles per hour, many people said they did not know about it.
At the latest meeting of the parish council, he spoke of the need for signs to inform people of the limit and reduce speeding.
