BOXING legend Frank Bruno is glowing with pride following the christening of his nine-month-old daughter Freya in North West Leicestershire.

The proud dad attended the ceremony at St Margaret’s Church, Blackfordby, on Sunday, with partner Yvonne Clydesdale, 34, and around 50 guests — proving he is now firmly settled in the area.
The ex-WBC heavyweight champion is also understood to have splashed out on a luxury new home in Woodville, so he can be nearer to his new family.
Rev Tom Vale, who carried out the service, told The Mail: "In many ways it was just like all the other christenings we do here.
"Mr Bruno and his partner, Miss Clydesdale, came to their local parish church to have their child baptised with friends and family. It was a very happy occasion for them.
"Miss Clydesdale has been to St Margaret’s to worship in the past, but Sunday was the first time I’d seen Mr Bruno at the church. It was really nice to see them and I hope they both come back to see us on a more regular basis in the future."
Ashby hairdresser Miss Clydesdale gave birth to Freya — Bruno’s fourth child — in May, 2006, following what was reported to be a "long and quite difficult" labour.
The couple, who are believed to have met when Miss Clydesdale worked at Champney’s Springs Health Resort, in Ashby, six years ago, began dating in 2005 after meeting again at a wine bar in the town, where she runs Enigma Salon Ltd.
Bruno is now believed to have purchased a luxury house on the Cameron Homes-build Broad Leaves housing development, in High Street, Woodville — fuelling speculation in the village that the couple are about to set up home together.
Nobody at Cameron Homes would confirm the rumour but residents and workers in Woodville told The Mail that the former world champion is often spotted out and about in the area.
Lloyd Read, team leader in the Tesco Express Store, in High Street, said: "He often comes in for his eggs and bacon and always has a laugh with the staff and customers.
"He always seems right at home when he comes into the store and is a really nice chap. We all hope things work out well for him and his partner."
Danny Graham, of Station Road, Woodville, said: "We’ve all heard that Frank Bruno is about to buy a house in the village, which is a really cool thought. He is a top bloke and really welcome in Woodville."
Bruno, 44, who has three children from his first marriage to Laura, finally won the WBC world heavyweight title in 1995, towards the end of a long and distinguished boxing career that included clashes with Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.
He regularly trained at Springs during his career and has continued to return to the spa since his retirement.
In 2003, the ex-fighter — famous for the catchphrase "Know what I mean, ’Arry?" from his close friendship with BBC boxing commentator Harry Carpenter — hit the headlines when he was admitted to hospital suffering from depression.
Last year, the couple also received £50,000 in libel damages after false claims were made about their relationship in a national newspaper.
