GARY Rowett still holds out hope of watching Barcelona train at St George's Park.
The Burton Albion boss, whose side trains at the FA centre in Rangemore, has asked if he can watch the Catalan giants in one of their training sessions during their stay near Burton. He is awaiting an answer – but respects whichever decision the Spaniards make.
"We asked the question," said the Brewers chief, whose side recently played visiting German outfit Mainz at the training complex.
"I believe there might be an opportunity for us to watch one or two of the sessions.
"It'd be great for us to be able to watch a top team in training but we also have to respect what they're here for.
"They want privacy and peace and are coming for a reason – to play privately on some of the best pitches in the world.
"That's very important and we respect that. While it'd be great for us to watch, the reality is it's not quite as open as that."
