FORMER Burton Albion goalkeeper Ross Atkins is among five out-of-contract players released by Derby County.
The others are defenders James O'Connor, Valentin Gjokaj and Michael Hoganson, and striker Callum Ball.
Atkins, 24, spent two seasons on loan with the Brewers from 2011 to 13, making more than 50 appearances in all competitions.
He has been on loan at Alfreton Town FC and Crawley Town this season.
O'Connor, meanwhile, is on his way back from a ruptured thigh muscle that has sidelined him since suffering the injury while on loan at Bristol City in September.
His last league game for Derby was in a draw at Charlton Athletic in December 2012 - he made 23 appearances for the Rams following his free transfer from Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2012.
Gjokaj, 20, made six appearances last season and has been on loan at Barnet this campaign, while Hoganson, a 20-year-old full back, had a spell at Alfreton Town.
Ball, 21, spent all season out on loan in spells at Torquay United and Notts County.
His record for Derby was three goals in 31 games.
