BURTON Albion have signed Bermuda international goalkeeper Freddy Hall on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old former Northampton Town custodian will provide cover for Dean Lyness and current number one Rob Lainton, whose loan deal from Bury extends until the play-off semi-finals.
Manager Gary Rowett said: “Freddy has been training with us and he has a good pedigree.
“With Rob Lainton only on loan we need to make sure we have adequate cover in the goalkeeping position.
“It will give us a chance to look at him more long-term, he has played at a good level with Toronto FC and this is a chance for him to make a career in England.”
Hall's most recent club was Toronto in America's Major Soccer League, and he has six caps for his country, with his debut coming against Trinidad and Tobago in September 2011.
