FLEETWOOD were better than us on the day last weekend.

We got back into the game twice, and maybe we’d have done things differently if we could go back.

The game was delayed for an hour, but it’s the same for both sides.

They were just better than us in that particular game.

I played 60 minutes and thought I did OK.

The game was 2-2 when I came off – and every player is disappointed when they get substituted.

I’m 31 now and sometimes you have to look at it from a selfish point of view.

I want to play – I think that’s blatantly clear.

All you can do is train well week in week out – and I think I have done that.

We’ve Exeter City today and will now look to go again,

They have had a mixed season. People expected them to be right up there.

But there’s still plenty of time left so they could still be there or thereabouts.

Exeter are a good team. They have some good players and play football in what people think of as being in the right way.

We will have to be at our best again, like you have to be in every game.

Gary Alexander was signed yesterday from Crawley Town.

He’s another body up front and looks like being a good target man.

I think that Billy (Kee) does that job for us quite well as well.

What we need to do is score more goals from all over the pitch – not just the strikers.

The January transfer window is something I like.

Looking from outside the Premier League, watching the signings come in is exciting.

From a player’s point of view it is an opportunity for those not playing to perhaps further their careers and to move on.

From everyone’s point of view, we know the January transfer window is in place.

And it’s not like clubs have to get rid of players.

Players not getting time on the pitch might want to go out and get some football – it’s no good for anyone to be sitting around not doing a lot.

People might complain about it, but it’s not as if the window has suddenly been sprung upon them.
