THE best and worst aspects of GP surgeries in Burton and South Derbyshire have been uncovered in a new report.
Patients across the country were asked to rate their local GP surgery on everything from waiting times, receptionists, opening hours, to being able to make an appointment.
According to results compiled from the GP Patient Survey King Street Surgery, in King Street, Burton, was one of the best ranked in the country coming in at 118 out of 7,952 in England.
Everyone surveyed said receptionists were helpful and 93.1 per cent would recommend the surgery.
This comes after the surgery turned itself around from being one of the worst performing sites in the country to one of the best in the past six months.
In South Derbyshire, Overseal Surgery, Hallcroft Avenue, Overseal, was ranked 757 out of 7,952 in England.
A total of 99 per cent said receptionists are helpful and 95.2 per cent had a good experience making an appointment
A total of 93 per cent rate the surgery as giving a good overall experience
The newly opened Gresleydale Healthcare Centre, in Church Gresley, was rated by 87.8 per cent of patients as giving a good overall experience
Peel Croft surgery, based in Lichfield Street, Burton, was ranked at 636
Staff at the surgery were praised for being 'helpful' and for proving a 'good overall experience'.
Gordon Street Surgery, in Gordon Street, Burton, came out as one of the lowest ranked in the country - coming in at 418 out of 7,952.
Swadlincote Surgery, in Darklands Road, Swadlincote, was ranked 4,616 out of 7,952 in England.
