AROUND 90 children from two schools in Burton and Swadlincote took a visit to Chatsworth Farm with Bretby Rotary Club.

The club chooses a school from East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire every year and Horninglow Primary School and Elmsleigh Infant and Nursery School were chosen for 2014.

The children were given tours around the farmyard with a Chatsworth guide and were told all about what life on the farm was like.

They were also able to meet horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens and learn about each animal.

A spokesman for Bretby Rotary Club said: "It was a great day out and the children's knowledge of animals was greatly increased by the visit."
