Burton fire chief praise after strike action

PEOPLE in Burton have been praised for their 'vigilance' during the eight days of fire strikes.

Staffordshire fire and rescue service chief fire officer Peter Dartford revealed there were no significant incidents during the national industrial action.

In total, there were 15 separate strike periods which took place during eight days.

Mr Dartford said: "Once again I would like to thank the communities of Staffordshire for listening to our safety advice and taking extra care."
