A NURSERY has been given an award to mark its inclusion on a list of top recommended nurseries in the West Midlands.

The Co-operative Childcare nursery, which is has already been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and is based at Queen’s Hospital, came an impressive 5th out of 1,178 nurseries included in the region on daynurseries.co.uk.

The award was given by the online directory and industry website, and was based on recommendations of the nursery from parents, relatives and guardians of the children it cares for on a daily basis.

Parents endorsed the Burton nursery for its friendly and professional colleagues, excellent resource and equipment, along with the standards of education put in place.

Sian Edwards, nursery manager, said: “We are very proud to have been rated so highly and with the feedback coming from our own parents, the achievement is all the more rewarding.

“We constantly strive to provide an excellent service for all of our children and their families and to be recognised by an industry body like day nurseries is testament to our wonderful colleagues here at our Burton nursery.”
