A BURTON pub giant has announced it is to support Prostate Cancer UK's Men United campaign.
Spirit Pub Company, based at Centrum 100, has committed to support Men United v Prostate Cancer during the months when pubs are expected to be packed with guests watching the 'all-important' football games as the new football season gets under way.
The partnership aims to raise more than £30,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and will see more than 750 pubs take part.
Mike Tye (pictured), Spirit Pub Company chief executive, said: "The pub is the perfect place to meet with friends to enjoy the 'beautiful game' this summer as the new season starts in earnest.
"This gives us an ideal opportunity to help Prostate Cancer UK improve awareness among our guests and drive those all essential donations that help towards fighting the disease.
"We're proud to continue our relationship with Prostate Cancer UK, and I'm sure with the fantastic fund-raising ideas our teams are preparing that we'll exceed our fund-raising target."
Prostate Cancer UK's director of fund-raising Mark Bisho said: "This is an exciting partnership with Spirit Pub Company. This is how we can raise awareness."
