BURTON host Leicester Lions at Peel Croft tomorrow for the first of four pre-season games.
Recruitment has gone well over the summer and tomorrow gives Burton supporters a first chance to run the rule over the new side ahead of the return to National League level.
Around 30 players will play in tomorrow's fixture as coaches Tom Barlow and Nick Adams mix and match in the run-up to the season proper.
Jack Neale, a flanker from Burntwood, Nick Oxley, a full-back from Stafford and prop Martyn Bentley, from Rugeley, are all set to feature.
Sam Smith returns to Burton from Leicester Lions, Jack Bartram is back from university, along with Andrew Tattersall, while Dan Smith is also a welcome addition following a season out with injury.
Academy players Will Smith and Andy Wood have both stepped up, while colts Eddie Nicholls, Alex Nesbitt, Jack Deeming, Liam Collett and Tom Winter have all had pre-season with the senior squads.
And there's the promise of more new faces with a prop, flanker and No 8 all mulling over potential moves to the Crofters.
