A BURTON-based solicitor is supporting Rainbows Hospice by taking part in its Make a Will month.
During May, solicitors across the Midlands will provide a discounted advice service on how to leave a gift which will help the Lourhborough-based hospice to provide palliative care to children with life limited illnesses for years to come.
Else Solicitors, based in Centrum 100, has pledged its support to the scheme, which will offer more than 50 per cent discount on simple wills and will amendments.
Kathryn Caple, head of the wills and probate department at Else, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Rainbows’ Make a Will month.
“Many of us don’t like to think about making a will but it is really important to do so. By taking part in this scheme, we are not just working with people to ensure their loved ones will be cared for, we are also ensuring a lasting legacy is left to children in the East Midlands who benefit from the services Rainbows provides.
“If you already have a will, it is important to make sure it is up to date. There are cases out there where people neglect their will and sadly when someone dies, the people who should benefit, don’t. We can also update wills as part of this scheme.”
