A SELFLESS woman has cut off her hair and donated it to charity to turn it into a wig.

Michelle Tayler, 34, had the chop for the second time yesterday after doing it in 2012.

Michelle said she felt literally light headed after the hair cut was complete.

She said: "You don't realise just how heavy your hair is until you cut it all off."

The hair will go to the Little Princess Trust who make and donate wigs to girls whose hair has fallen out, often due to cancer.

Michelle said: "It was an idea that I sort of fell upon a couple of years ago and I just thought, why not?

"I was a bit nervous the first time but this time I was excited because I know that it's going to help a person and it's a really good cause."

Michelle is also raising money to donate to the charity for the cost of making the wig out of her hair.

Each wig costs around £350 to make, so that figure is Michelle's fund-raising target.

She intends to donate her hair to the charity again..
