JAKE Buxton has trained and is available for Derby County's Championship clash against Ipswich Town at the iPro Stadium tomorrow (3pm).
Buxton was rested for Tuesday's victory over Charlton Athletic in the Capital One Cup due to a hip-flexor problem.
Zak Whitbread stepped in at centre-back and impressed, as did debutant Ryan Shotton at right-back where summer signing Cyrus Christie has barely put a foot wrong.
Head coach Steve McClaren has selection decisions to make as the Rams looked to stretch their 100% home record.
On Buxton, McClaren said: "Jake has trained and is okay. He has still got a nagging problem, but he is getting through it.
"The two-week international break hopefully will give him time to recover and get back to the levels where he can play three games in a week."
Derby County midfielder Will Hughes has been named in the England Under-21 squad for two upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
England have a double-header away to Lithuania on Friday, September 5, and Moldova on Tuesday, September 9.
Hughes is included in a 21-man squad, which also features Derby-born defender Jamaal Lascelles and former Rams loanees Michael Keane and Tom Carroll.
Jamie Ward is in the Northern Ireland squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier in Hungary on Sunday, September 7.
The Derby County forward has hit form with the Rams, scoring three goals in his last two games.
Rams striker Kwame Thomas has been called up to the England Under-20 squad.
Aidy Boothroyd's men take on Romania at AFC Telford United's New Bucks Head on Friday, September 5.
Thomas is joined in the squad by Jordon Ibe, who was expected to arrive in Derby yesterday for talks regarding a loan move from Liverpool.
