Card creating delight at remembrance centre

DOZENS of people descended on a national centre of remembrance to keep the kids busy with a range of crafts.

Parents and their youngsters headed to the National Memorial Arboretum, in Alrewas, to take part in a flower card making workshop.

A spokesman for the site said: “Whatever the weather there is plenty to keep you occupied at the National Memorial Arboretum.”

The craft related fun will continue this weekend with a selection of fun family, drop-in and discovery, activities taking place.

From 10am to 1pm on Saturday, people will be able to decorate pretty flowerpots to take home and enjoy.

The event costs £1 and people do not have to book.
