A HOSPICE which cares for poorly Burton children will benefit from £500 raised from kind-hearted shoppers.

A stall for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, in Coopers Square, raised the cash by offering prizes in a raffle and ‘hook a duck’ competition.

Len Milner, chairman of the Burton Friends of the Donna Louise Hospice, thanked Thorntons, Sainsbury’s Local in Church Gresley and Asda which had donated prizes.

He also thanked Burton’s MP Andrew Griffiths and his wife Kate for their support.
