BUDDING actors are being offered the chance to take part in the next stage production by an amateur group.
Ashby Dramatic Society is looking for new recruits for both on and off stage roles as the group looks to mount a major new production.
Hell Fire Corner will be staged at Ashby Venture Theatre from September 25-27 and from October 1-4.
The show's director, Paul Smith, said: "We are still looking for enthusiastic people for some of the parts and we need more members in the backstage crew and technical departments.
"We end up having to double up a lot to fill the gaps and this is an important production for us, so more help would be very useful indeed."
Hell Fire Corner, written by DM Thomas, is billed as a 'true story of courage and inspiration in the face of poverty and hardship'.
It is set at the turn of the 20th century during the collapse of the tin mining industry and follows the life of Bert Solomon, who was a talented rugby player in Edwardian times.
With a total of 22 scenes, spanning 17 locations over a ten-year period, it will be one of the most ambitious productions ever staged by the Ashby group and extra help will be greatly appreciated by the existing members of the society.
Anyone who would like to get involved, or just wants to find out more information, can call Paul on 01530 461627. Alternatively you can visit the group at the Venture Theatre any Monday night from 8.30pm for a tour and chat.
