A BURTON Mail Child of Courage, who was recognised for her hard work in raising money for charity, is preparing for yet another fund-raising mission.

Chelsea Neat, a student at Pingle School in Swadlincote, is planning a dinner and dance at Branston Golf and Country Club on Saturday, January 18,

The event has been organised in aid of Help for Heroes – a charity which Chelsea, pictured, has supported since she began her fund-raising mission more than a year ago.

The dance will begin at 7pm and run until midnight.

As well as a two-course meal and entertainment, there will also be a charity raffle, which will be hosted by Touch FM DJ Mark O’Sullivan, who presents the breakfast show on the radio station.

Tickets cost £27.50 and are available by emailing chelseasheroes@hotmail.co.uk.

If people prefer to pay by cheque, they can be made payable to Chelsea’s Heroes.

This is the second major fund-raising event which the year 11 pupil, who lives in Swadlincote, has organised.

Last year, she arranged a charity music concert in aid for Help for Heores and the Royal British Legion.

Currently, she is leading the young people at her school in a bid to cycle around the world in 80 days using spinning bikes.

Her mother, Clare Neat, told the Mail: “She’s a very determined young lady,”

“She doesn’t understand what a big thing she’s doing, especially for her age.

“To meet her, you would never think she was capable of this.”
