A SCHOOL is asking parents to remind their children about Stranger Danger after what was believed to have been an attempted child abduction.

Diana Saunders, acting head teacher at Moira Primary School, in Blackfordby Lane, has written to all parents making them aware of the incident which took place on Tuesday, and asked them to warn their children about talking to strangers.

She wrote: “A silver Vauxhall estate was driving round the back entrance to the school on Tuesday morning with a man and a woman inside. At one point they tried (thankfully unsuccessfully) to attract one of our children over to the car.

”Please be vigilant and remind your children regarding stranger danger.

”Please do come into school if you notice anything untoward.”

A Leicestershire police spokesman had sent an officer into the school today and spoken to all six classes.

More information to come.
