CHRIS Hussey has today left Burton Albion to join Bury on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old left-sided player has been on the fringe of the first-team for several weeks, with Jimmy Phillips making the left wing position his own and Damien McCrory the epitome of consistency at left-back.
Hussey started the season in outstanding form, scoring three in his first four goals, but found it difficult to maintain.
“He wants to play and I’ve said this before with Zander (Diamond),” said manager Gary Rowett. “Sometimes you have two or three around the place not playing and not happy.
“It makes sense to get them games.
“I’d only be keeping him around for a body and we’re not short of players.”
Hussey joined Burton in July 2013 and has made 32 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals, including a brace against Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup victory.
Hussey’s last appearance came in the 2-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers in February, his only start of 2014.
