RESIDENTS are being given a last chance to have their say on a council's proposed new approach to working with communities.
Leicestershire County Council is currently consulting on how it proposes to devolve services by encouraging community groups to take over services provided by the council such as libraries.
Details are available at www.leics.gov.uk/communities_strategy until September 1.
Pam Posnett, the county council's cabinet member for communities, said: "We believe that communities can work with us to both help themselves and others and to run some services, such as libraries.
"Town and parish councils are likely to play a crucial role in this."
