Crimestoppers - South Derbyshire

HELLO and thanks for all the calls we received last week. All the information has been passed on to the officers dealing with each case.

We have seen an increase in house burglaries in the area where doors are being left insecure, often overnight. So please make sure you check your doors and windows before you go to bed and lock them. Even if you are leaving your house for a short time, again lock doors and windows.

Now please take a look at this week’s list of crimes and see if you can help.

CRIME 1

BURGLARY

Between 3pm and 4pm on Monday, May 5 offenders entered a flat in Davis Road, Swadlincote by an insecure door. Once inside thieves stole property including a Canon Supershot digital camera and a quantity of cash. If you can help then call the Crimestoppers team and quote reference: 18591/14

CRIME 2

BURGLARY

Between 8pm and midnight on Saturday, May 3 offenders entered a house in Scropton Road, Hatton by an insecure door. Once inside thieves stole a black River Island handbag containing Gucci perfume, cosmetics, a black River Island purse, cash and credit cards. Do you know who is responsible for this burglary? CRIME 3

THEFT FROM CAR

At approximately 2am on Thursday, May 8 two offenders went to an insecure grey Audi that was parked in the driveway of a house in Pinfold Close, Repton. Thieves searched the car but were disturbed and ran off empty handed. Were you in the area and did you see the thieves running away? If so then call the Crimestoppers team and quote reference: 18982/14

CRIME 4

BURGLARY

Between Friday, April 25 and Saturday, May 3 offenders entered an insecure garage belonging to a house in Burton Road, Castle Gresley.

Thieves then stole a grey and silver mountain bike and a silver and black racing cycle. Have you recently been offered either of these cycles at a knockdown price? If you are able to tell us more then call the confidential number and quote reference: 18204/14

CRIME 1

DAMAGE

Overnight between Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7 offenders went to a red Nissan car that was parked in the driveway of a house in Bramble Walk, Overseal. Thieves smashed the window but did not manage to get into the car and left empty handed.
