We have also received calls about other crimes not even mentioned in the column, which is really good and shows that people are feeling confident in ringing Crimestoppers knowing their identity is never questioned.

CRIME 1

THEFT FROM CAR

Between 9am and 3.30pm on Monday, June 23 offenders went to a silver ‘05’ registered VW golf car that was parked in a car park in Civic Way, Swadlincote.

Thieves then stole the front number plate. Were you in the area around this time and did you see the thief?

CRIME 2

THEFT FROM CAR

Between Saturday, June 21 and Monday, June 23 offenders went to an insecure black Vauxhall Astra car that was parked in the driveway of a house in Milton Avenue, Midway. Thieves took the opportunity and stole from the glove box, an iPhone 5 mobile phone.

CRIME 3

BURGLARY

Overnight between Tuesday, June 24 and Wednesday, June 25 offenders forced the door of an outbuilding in Church Street, Coton in the Elms.

Thieves then stole property including an angle grinder and a welder. Do you know where this property is now? If so then call the Crimestoppers team and quote reference: 26340/14

CRIME 4

THEFT FROM CAR

Overnight between Tuesday, June 24 and Wednesday, June 25 offenders went to a white Mercedes car that was parked in the driveway of a house in Dundee Road, Midway.

Thieves then stole both the front and rear number plates.

CRIME 5

THEFT

Overnight between Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 offenders went to a building in Higgins Road, Newhall, climbed over the fence and stole a child’s climbing frame with slide attached.
