“Delivering value for money for all our customers is important to us.
“Every water bill paid helps us to deliver improvements, which make sure that each time you turn on a tap or flush the loo, the service is reliable.
“As part of this commitment, from 2010 to 2015 we’ve invested £2.6 billion in renewing, replacing and improving our water and waste water network, to reduce leaks and help to protect homes from sewer flooding.”
In Derbyshire, Severn Trent Water has invested more than £62 million in the past year to carry out planned improvements to the water and waste water system.
The firm is also celebrating after revealing that it managed to reduce leakage levels more than any other water company and sewer blockages were also reduced by 30 per cent overall.

Mr Salmon said: “We’d like to let our customers know that help is available if they are struggling.
