STEVE McClaren has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship manager of the month award for the second time in three months, while Derby County defender Craig Forsyth is in the frame for the player of the month award.
Rams boss McClaren won the prize for December with a record of six wins and a draw in seven matches.
Now he is in the running for the February award along with Burnley’s Sean Dyche, Uwe Rosler of Wigan Athletic and Watford’s Giuseppe Sannino.
Derby collected 10 points from 12 in February with wins against Queen’s Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Bournemouth, and a draw away to Birmingham City to put them in contention for automatic promotion.
Burnley currently fill one of the two automatic promotion places and Dyche guided the Clarets to 11 points from five games last month.
Rosler’s Wigan won four of their five games in February while Sannino’s Watford took 11 points and recorded four clean sheets in six matches.
Forsyth is the second Rams player in three months to be nominated for the top player award after midfielder Craig Bryson was nominated in December.
Forsyth is an ever-present for Derby this season.
The 24-year-old left back has been in consistent form and helped the team to keep three consecutive clean sheets in February. He also scored his first goal for the club in the 3-3 draw at Birmingham (pictured).
Also in for the player of the month prize is Leeds United’s top scorer Ross McCormack, Blackburn Rovers’ goalkeeper Paul Robinson and Burnley striker Sam Vokes.
The winners will be announced tomorrow.
