JEFF Hendrick looks set to miss Derby County’s Championship clash against Yeovil at the iPro Stadium tomorrow night.
The midfielder suffered an ankle injury in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
He was clattered after about 20 minutes by Rovers’ Ben Marshall.
Marshall hurt himself making the challenge and was carried away on a stretcher.
Hendrick continued but limped off after 35 minutes and was replaced by Will Hughes.
“Jeff is struggling a little bit with his ankle ligaments. We are hoping that its not too bad.
“Tuesday against Yeovil is probably a bit too soon but we’ll see,” said Rams’ head coach Steve McClaren.
Hendrick was making only his seventh start in the League this season having come in for Hughes.
The Republic of Ireland international said on Twitter: “Gutted I had to come off. Hopefully it’s not too bad.”
Hendrick was out for three months earlier this season with an ankle problem that needed surgery.
