DOCTOR Who fans are in for a treat after an annual convention pulled of a coup for the 2014 event.
The fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison will be appearing at the QUAD arts centre in Derby as a guest for Whooverville, the annual convention for fans of Doctor Who.
Whooverville 6 will take place on August 30.
Special guests confirmed for this year’s event include not only Peter Davison but also Deborah Watling, who played Victoria, companion to the second Doctor.
Also on hand will be Terry Molloy, who played Davros, creator of the Daleks; David Troughton (son of second Doctor Patrick Troughton) who played Professor Hobbs in Midnight (new series Doctor Who) and Michael Troughton, the other son of Patrick Troughton.
Whooverville is the East Midlands’ biggest annual get-together of fans of the BBC TV series.
It is organised by Derby’s local Doctor Who group, the Whoovers, one of the most popular fan groups in the country.
Whooverville is a day of fun for all ages and a popular event on the QUAD calendar.
The Whooverville event is a chance to have your photo taken with the Tardis, catch up on gossip from the latest series, purchase new and classic merchandise, take part in a Doctor Who podcast, add to the autograph album and meet some of the people from in front of and behind the camera.
Whooverville 6 takes place on Saturday, August 30, from 10am until 6pm.
Tickets are £40, £25 concessions and £10 for children aged under ten.
