A SCHEME which provides sporting opportunities for children with disabilities has been given a huge amount of equipment after winning a prize draw run by Sainsbury’s.

Able Too United FC won a wishlist of equipment in the Active Kids competition, which ran at stores across the UK.

It was presented to the group by staff from the Burton Sainsbury’s when they visited Shobnall Leisure Complex recently.

Guy Swindells, manager at the Union Street store, said: “It’s fantastic news for the staff and children at Able Too United FC as we know how much the scheme means to them.

“It’s great for our colleagues to provide them with equipment which is going to make a positive difference on their teaching of a healthy lifestyle to pupils.”

Staff from the complex who run the group said they had been ‘overwhelmed’ by winning the competition and would enjoy the equipment.
