The Employer of the Year award will go to a company that recognises the value of investing in its staff.

It will be handed to a business which has used its human resources successfully and all working practices, from recruitment to work-life balance, will be taken into consideration.

Award sponsor The Clinigen Group is a fast-growing specialty global pharmaceuticals and services business, dedicated to serving patients, the medical community and the healthcare industry to supply critical life-saving treatments.

With offices in the UK, US and Japan, Clinigen is focused on delivering the right drug to the right patient at the right time. It was established in 2010 and it has since transformed into a global provider of specialty pharmaceutical products and services, becoming a public company and listing on the London Stock Exchange on AIM in September 2012.

At the heart of the group’s continued success is its ‘can do’ culture.

The firm says: “Despite being an international business and operating on a truly global scale, we have never lost touch with our Staffordshire roots and, as a rapidly expanding company, we employ more than 125 people, with the vast majority based in the Burton area. As a major employer, we want to play an active role in supporting local business initiatives and being a sponsor of the Business Awards is an excellent way of us doing this.”
