THE entries have started to come in as competition hots up in the battle to be crowned a winner at the Burton Mail Business Awards.
A variety of firms from across East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire have already been in touch with event director Dave Bryon, and he is now urging firms in the area not to miss out on the benefits of being a winner.
He said: "We have already had a great response, with several firms getting in touch about the awards.
"In the fifth year of the awards we are expecting more entries than ever before.
"I now want to urge all firms across the area to head online and take a look at the categories.
"The awards are free to enter and firms can enter as many categories as they wish.
"I also expect the awards ceremony to be a sell-out and I would like to remind people that the only way to guarantee a seat is by entering your firm."
There are 11 awards to be won, including the prestigious Business of the Year. There are several categories in the Business Awards that are aimed at individuals. This includes the Young Employee of the Year award and Employee of the Year award.
The gala awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 23, and will again be held at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium.
Firms have until September 12 to enter and can do so online via a new-look section on the Burton Mail's website at www.burtonmail.co.uk/business-awards-2014
