SPANISH football giants FC Barcelona start their pre-season training campaign next week and while Champions League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea head off to sunnier climates, Barca have chosen to head to Burton.
The squad, including 2010 World Cup winners Gerard Piqué, Andrés Iniesta (pictured) and Jordi Alba arrive at Burton's St George's Park on Monday to begin their 2014/2015 preparations.
The facilities at St. George's Park, used by all the England squads, will offer the La Liga giants a choice of 12 pitches including a full-size indoor 3G pitch.
Off the pitch, the Barcelona squad will be working hard in the Perform St. George's Park's human performance, fitness and sports science facilities.
The Human Performance Lab could be the squad's first port of call, allowing Barcelona's coaching and medical team access to extensive sports science testing for their team.
Equipment in the cutting-edge lab includes an AlterG treadmill, allowing athletes to run under reduced gravity conditions and an altitude chamber, recently used by the England squad to prepare for Brazil.
The players will then be able to head to the impressively-equipped strength and conditioning gym, with a panoramic view of the Wembley replica pitch.
The players can unwind after in a state-of-the art hydrotherapy suite, complete with an underwater treadmill, jacuzzi and cold plunge pool for those brave enough.
Andoni Zubizarreta, the FC Barcelona director of football, said: "FC Barcelona is thrilled to be coming to St. George's Park. We will be able to work peacefully in an exceptional football setting, with perfect indoor and outdoor facilities that make us believe that the work atmosphere will be excellent."
