Robbie Williams Celebrates Latest Fashion Launch

Written byBy Rachael West

Take That star Robbie Williams has launched a new range from his fashion label Farrell for men who like a ‘bit of snap’ in their outfits.

Named after his grandfather, Jack Farrell, the latest designs comes with a strong British feel as the label enters its third season.

Robbie credited his late grandfather as his role model and honoured him by naming his fashion label Farrell to reflect, he says, the values of a great man.

The latest from Farrell includes pea coats and button down shirts and evokes a strong military feel, harking back to the historic match between the British and German armies in 1914 when a temporary truce was declared to play a Christmas Day match.

For Autumn/Winter Farrell is introducing the Control Trench, a military inspired trench coat and new style from the collection. The new coat design directly references British army rain coats from the early 1900s but with a modern twist.

The Control Trench has been created using contemporary Melton wool and densely packed fabrics for extra retained heated for those cold winter mornings. The modern additions feature a light waterproof outer shell cloth which is more water resistant than former military materials.

A personal touch has been added in the form of the Farrell ‘knot’ logo which is a reference to Jack Farrell’s time in the North Staffordshire army regiment.

The Farrell collection is available at Selfridges and from www.farrell.com
