Mother’s Day is just around the corner, so make sure you get your table booked at one of the Lewis Partnership’s award winning restaurants. Quite possibly the most important day of the year, Sunday, March 10 is the day you can show the most important lady in your life, just how special she is.
The Moat House, Acton Trussell, is offering two sittings – one at noon and one at 3.30pm - with a sumptuous menu for just £33 for three courses. Then from 7pm until 8.30pm you can choose three courses for just £25 per person.
For starters diners can choose from a delicious selection including goat’s cheese cheesecake with micro herbs and caramelised red onion marmalade and parfait of chicken livers served with pear and sultana chutney and homemade brioche.
The selection of main courses are equally as tempting with classics like roast sirloin of dry aged Staffordshire beef, roast beef gravy and Yorkshire pudding or slow braised lamb shank with buttered savoy cabbage, boulangere potatoes and provencal sauce, to name but two.
Dessert is something you will not want to miss out on, with lemon and basil meringue with raspberry sorbet, Eve’s pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream, as well as chocolate and orange cheesecake with dark chocolate sorbet gracing the menu.
The Swan has an equally delectable menu, priced at just £24.95 per person. Choose from a delicious selection of starters including lobster and king prawn cocktail, with bloody mary sauce and goats cheese and sunblush tomato roulade, with aubergine caviar and endive salad.
You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to your main course, with honey roast ham, served with mashed potatoes and parsley sauce, and pan seared seabass, with poached leeks, tomato fondue and pesto dressing being just two of the options to choose from.
Round your meal off perfectly with classic desserts like sticky toffee pudding, tarte as citron, stewed apple and plum crumble and chocolate and amaretto cheesecake.
The Dog and Doublet’s menu offers a fantastic selection, including smoked chicken, bacon and black pudding salad, served with poached egg and mustard vinaigrette and salmon and dill fishcakes served with béarnaise sauce and a tomato and rocket salad.
Main courses include roasted loin of pork, with crackling, sage stuffing and roast gravy and tagliatelle with dolcelatte, spinach, tender stem broccoli and toasted pine nuts.
For dessert, dishes include cherry and almond frangipane tart with honey and mascarpone cream and chocolate and orange torte with vanilla ice cream. All this is rounded off perfectly with coffee and chocolate fudge. At just £24.95 per person, it’s the perfect way to treat your mum this Mother’s Day.
