A CULINARY celebration featuring South Derbyshire businesses has been boosted with the continuation of a major sponsorship deal.
Derbyshire County Council is hosting its annual Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair for the first time on May 18 and 19, featuring 150 stallholders selling produce from South Derbyshire and further afield.
Cook, author and broadcaster Valentine Warner, and TV chef Rosemary Shrager will stage cookery demonstrations alongside local chefs in the fair’s popular cookery theatre – with more big names set to follow.
And McArthurGlen East Midlands Designer Outlet is sponsoring the cookery theatre for the second year running.
Councillor Kevin Parkinson, Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “Our food and drink fair helps the county’s economy and I’d strongly urge businesses to consider supporting the popular event – whether it’s a main title sponsor, or as a contributing sponsor with packages starting from £2,500.
