BOSSES behind the hotel complex at the national football centre are celebrating after scooping a top award.
Hilton at St George’s Park has been dubbed ‘outstanding’ after being awarded the 2013 Connie Award by Hilton Hotels & Resorts as part of the company’s 2013 brand awards of excellence.
The hotel has been a central part of the Burton-based site since it opened in 2012, regularly playing host to a wide range of footballers from the England team to players who ply their trade in America.
Greg Crawford, general manager at Hilton at St George’s Park, said: “The entire team at Hilton at St George’s Park is honoured to have received the 2013 Connie Award.
“We are dedicated to providing superior service to our guests, and this achievement recognises our hotel team members’ commitment and authentic Hilton hospitality this past year.”
Each year, Hilton honours properties for outstanding performance in multiple categories, including marketing, food and beverage, housekeeping and brand culture.
The Connie Award recognises the property with outstanding customer service and quality leading their region in overall loyalty, cleanliness and condition.
The award is the highest gong that bosses at the firm can bestow and, bears the name of the company’s founder Conrad Hilton.
The Hilton complex at St George’s Park is comprised of two different hotels – the Hilton and Hampton by Hilton.
The Hilton boasts luxury accommodation, while the Hampton by Hilton will offer customers a lower-priced stay at the site.
