A NEW promotions company organising a comedic performance in Burton, is giving away two free tickets to its premiere event to the winner of a competition.

Events and promotions company Mercia Events Ltd is the brainchild of Ken Holmes and Debra Reiblein, who broke out of their full time education sector jobs to pursue a long standing dream.

The duo has lined up their first event at the Brewhouse, in Union Street, on Thursday, April 11, with Kitten Pyramid playing from 7pm, and the comedy starting at 8.15pm.

It will feature Bob Mills, who of the most successful live acts in comedy since 1985, storytelling comedian James Dowdeswell, television star Mike Gunn, with compere Mike Belgrave.

The duo is giving away two free tickets to the event to anyone who can answer the following question.

Many readers will remember Bob Mills from his popular daytime television show ‘Win, Lose or Draw’ but what other late night programme, made for ITV, did he appear in as presenter in the 1990s?

Successful entrants will be put into a prize-draw with the winner being chosen at random.

Anyone interested in taking part should email mercia.events@btinternet.com

Normal Burton Mail competition rules apply.

Tickets can be bought for £12 each and are available by phoning the Brewhouse box office on 01283 508100.
