A RECORD high of 72 per cent of students achieved at least five GCSE’s at A*-C grade including Mathematics and English.

This is an increase of three per cent on last year’s results .Almost 20 per cent of all entries were at grades A* or A.

Mr Easton, Head of Year 11 commented that he was “really pleased with the results as all the students had worked so hard including working at school over weekends and holidays”.

Mr Hand, director of support and guidance, was particularly pleased with the Ebacc figure of 40 per cent, a rise of seven per cent on last year, and the average GCSE grade achieved by the students is now a B.
